Helping Jacksonville's Youth

About Us

Helping Jacksonville’s Youth (HJY) is a non-profit organization formed by two Jacksonville natives in 2003 for the sole purpose of providing under privileged children and their families with food, clothing, shoes, and Christmas Toys during the holiday season.

H.J.Y. is committed to providing families with cheer and hope by lending a helping hand. Through our partnerships we can help families of both Middle and Lower incomes during back-to-school and the holiday season.

NO child should be without no matter what income bracket they fall into!

In 2010 Helping Jacksonville’s Youth expanded our charitable contributions by adding additional resources to assist the local community. With the help of many local heroes who care, we were able to offer interview training, tutoring, mentorship for local teens, food assistance, clothing and shoes, as well as our “We Care” program to inspire children and their families to pay it forward.

H.J.Y.’s Annual “Back to School Drive” also began in 2010.   The first year providing school supplies, backpacks, new clothing and shoes to 71 children. Since, we’ve been fortunate to service an average of 500 children yearly. These children receive three new outfits, one pair of new shoes, a backpack and school supplies. This act of kindness ensures a confident and positive start to the upcoming school year.

Our success is largely accredited to Individual Families, Local Businesses and Corporations like yours.  These individuals and Sponsors:  Volunteer, hold Fundraising Events, collect Food, Toys and Clothes on behalf of our organization.

Helping Jacksonville’s Youth is dedicated to inspiring hope and cultivating smiles through action and compassion for others.
